Dr Jerry Aende is a clean-energy engineer and strategist with experience across research, industrial operations, and executive leadership. He provides strategic and technical leadership across waste-to-energy, renewable energy integration, desalination, and wastewater treatment systems, supporting the development of low-carbon infrastructure solutions that promote resource efficiency, circularity, and environmental sustainability.
He holds a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Leeds, where his research advanced solar-thermal and nanotechnology-enabled approaches to energy-efficient desalination and water treatment.
He previously held senior roles across engineering, downstream oil and gas, and business development, leading technical and commercial teams, expanding markets, and building partnerships across regions. He is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the Institute of Water (IoW).
